Audon

Audon vs. provider usage dashboards.

Every AI provider shows its own usage and cost in its console, and those numbers are the source of truth for its invoice. Audon reads the same billing data through the providers’ cost and usage APIs, read-only, and adds what one dashboard per provider can’t: one view across providers, savings sized on your own data, and proof of what a change saved.

Side by side. Facts about Audon from the product and its docs.

AnomaliesVersioned detectors flag spikes (more than 2.5× the trailing 14-day median), concentration, sustained growth and budget burn.Charts to read yourself; some providers offer spend limits and budget alerts.
Proof of a savingA change marked as done is measured from billing, per unit of work; an approved experiment makes it a verified saving. Before and after totals, compared by hand.

PriceFree 30-day audit. Paid plans for monitoring and verification.Included with the provider account.

When a provider dashboard is enough. Said plainly.

  • You use one provider, spend is small and stable, and nobody needs to prove what a change saved.
  • You need a hard cap that stops requests: set it in the provider’s console. Audon suggests where, but doesn’t enforce it.

Questions teams ask when they compare.

Does Audon replace the provider’s billing?
No. Audon reads the provider’s own cost and usage reports, and the invoice comes from the provider as before. Recent days are provisional until the provider finalises them, and changes to older days are recorded as reconciliation conflicts, never overwritten.
Why not just read the dashboard every week?
You can. Audon does the reading daily across providers, flags what doesn’t fit, sizes what could drop on your own data and measures each change from billing, so the saving is a number you can show, not an estimate.
