Overview

How Audon reads your AI provider billing, finds savings and proves them, from sign-up to verified saving.

Audon audits and monitors your organization’s AI API spend from the providers’ own billing reports. It is read-only and never sits in your inference path: nothing changes in how your agents call OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI.

1. Create an account and organization

Sign up, then create an organization. Everything — connections, audits, keys, members — belongs to an organization.

2. Connect a provider

Paste an OpenAI organization Admin key, an Anthropic Admin key (sk-ant-admin…) or an xAI team management key. We validate it with one read-only request and store it encrypted. See provider setup.

3. Run an audit

The free plan includes one audit of up to 30 days. Results appear in minutes; each finding links to the exact provider records it was computed from.

4. Monitor, and verify what you fix

Paid plans re-scan daily and evaluate alert rules. When you change something, record a proposal, get it approved, and record the experiment. Only then can a saving be marked verified.

Only verified savings count as money saved

Every amount carries an evidence class: observed spend, anomalous spend, potential saving, validated opportunity or verified saving. Potential savings overlap and are never summed. See the methodology.

5. Automate with your agent

Every step above works over the REST API and the MCP server, with the same permissions as the dashboard.

Security and legal

How keys are protected, what we have not done yet and the current subprocessors are in the security overview and the DPA. The service’s live checks are on the status page.
